- A regular felt hat should be brushed using even strokes, in an anti-clockwise direction.
- A velour hat should be brushed in a clockwise direction.
- Remember! With a dusty hat, the dust could turn into mud in rain or with humidity.
- Make sure to brush your hat at least once a week.
- To maintain the kneitch, carefully pull it down with a wide arc, going from one side to the other.
- In case your hat gets wet in the rain, place it straight on a dry towel spread out on a table.
- When driving, it is advisable to keep the hat inside a box.
- Cleaning your hat using steam, etc., should be left to the experts. Don’t try doing it yourself!
