The Ferster Family has been in the hat production business since 1912, when R’ Ahraham Yosef Ferster z”l  established his own hat factory in Warsaw, the Polish capital. When the local authorities started persecuting their Jewish citizens, R’ Avraham Yosef escaped to Germany together with his brother R’ Moshe hy”d, where they opened a hat factory and a store in Weissbaden.

In 1932, the zeide R’ Avraham Yosef escaped from Germany and immigrated to Israel, where he opened his first store on Ben Yehuda Street in Jerusalem. With time, more stores and workshops opened up across Israel and worldwide.

Ferster Hats, as the most veteran in the field of hat production in Israel, and the largest internationally, supplies a huge selection of hats under prime brand names. We make some them here, in Israel; some are produced at our Hungarian factory, Nobilis, in Budapest, while others are imported from almost all four corners of the world.
